Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress who is best known for the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. Her career began in the her twenties. Her character in the role of Anil Kapoor in Tezaab made her incredibly popular. Her subsequent appearance on screen was Dil along with Aamir. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she started learning dance from a very young age. She ventured into acting as young and fought through a couple of years since many of her early films were flops. She found fame and became one of India's leading movie actresses. She decided to take a break from her profession following her marriage before returning to the world of entertainment. In the last few years, Dixit had a major role to play on Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was awarded fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India - was given to Dixit. The award was also given to her by the field of social work.
