Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was just five and moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at the Dragon School. Emma was only six when she decided she wanted to be an actor. She was trained for many years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she was taught acting and singing. Her performances had been in numerous Stagecoach as well as school plays by the time she was ten years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was cast in the year 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theater instructor. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight straight auditions. Emma's debut on the big screen came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, released in 2001. This film was 2001's highest grossing film, breaking records on opening day as well as the first weekend. The film has been praised by critics for its film, as well as the performance by three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British publication, has praised Emma for her performance. Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the movie.
