Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Her early years were shaped by Boleros, classical music and the more traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing, however she began more intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. Following her move to California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her place in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keeps her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her love and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
